Water Sports
In 1980 we founded the DamaBlu watersports centre – with one of the first windsurfing schools on the Adriatic coast! Since 1993 you may also enjoy CATAMARAN sailing at our hotel-residence – a really sportive experience in the middle of the stunning landscape at the Mount Conero coast!
During the whole summer season we don´t only offer sailing and surf courses but organize great outdoor events also, like barbecues with delicious Italian Marche food on the beach and trips to the Conero Nature Parc. Mount Conero lies directly north of our hotel & holiday bungalows and provides nice winds for sailing and windsurfing.
Our watersport courses are open for beginners or advanced sailors or surfers – depending on the time of day and the wind speed. Directly after the courses we encourage the participants to have fun and practise on the surf boards or our catamaran Hobbie Cat 16’! And you might also decide to rent one of our kayaks.
• DamaBlu Windsurfing Courses
Thanks to new materials and modern techniques these days it´s really easy to learn windsurfing! Easy to manage boards and light rigs make it possible.
In the 7 lessons of the beginners windsurfing workshop we start with exercises on the board still on the safe ground of our beach. Later on our windsurfing teacher (F.I.V.) will support you in surfing close to the Adriatic coast line. In small groups of just 1 to 4 surfing students during the course you`ll learn to surf safely and confidently at middle wind speeds. Each windsurfing student will be provided with a life vest and the appropriate surf equipment.
Advanced windsurfers may learn with more wind speed the use of the trapeze, the start out of the water and other skills.
• Catamaran Sailing Courses
Does the dynamic catamaran seem to you to be too much of a challenge? It just seems to be! Take advantage of your Italian holiday and just try. See how safe and how much fun catamaran sailing is. You´ll find out that this particular type of a sailing boat is easy to sail and quite comfortable as it glides lightly and speedily over the Adriatic waves...
Our Hobie Cat 16` is perfectly adaquate for sailing courses because it´s safe and easy to handle. Many of our students where so enthusiastic about the boat, that they bought exactly the same one for themselves.
